we have a new poco in town the poco F4 just like last year is a flagship killer phone but what's new here let's go over his key features and find out
we've already reviewed the poco F4 GT which is a souped-up version tailored to hardcore gaming in contrast the regular F4 seems more like a typical mid-ranger just with a powerful chipset the same formula that made the f3 so popular while the looks of the F4 conservative
it's still eye-catching the flat back is glossy and mirror-like with reflected light radiating from the camera bump however unlike on the f3 the back is now plastic and not made of gorilla glass 5.
Screen review
the display is very similar to both the F3 and the F4 gt
it's a 6.67 inch Amoled with a 1080p resolution gorilla glass 5 protection and a fast 120hz refresh rate.
an upgrade you'll find is that on top of hdr 10 plus support you also get support for dolby vision here and xiaomi says it's all factory calibrated for color accuracy.
Display review
there's also a fast 360 hertz touch sampling rate for extra responsiveness which we also saw on last year's model that's useful for gaming when it comes to chipset performance the poco F4 is no upgrade over last year
Chipset review
it brings the same snapdragon 875g still the 870 is powerful and doesn't heat up as much as the snapdragon 8 gen 1 you'd find in flagships

the f4 gt plus there's an improved passive cooling system here to help the thermals even more
Battery and charger review
the poco f4 comes with pretty much the same battery capacity as the f3 at 4500 milliamp hours
the charging has been upgraded though from 33 watts to a faster 67 watts still not as fast as the 120 watt charging of the F4 gt.
Android version
the poco f4 has a typical xiaomi user interface it's mia y13 based on android 12 and it brings the same set of features that you'd get on all of
Camera review
xiaomi's recent phones xiaomi has been including stereo speakers on pretty much all of their mid-ranges and you get them here too there is no headphone jack though you do still get the ir blaster a standout feature of most xiaomi phones,
the poco f4 has a pretty typical mid-range camera
setup a 64 megapixel main cam
an 8 megapixel ultra wide
and a 2 megapixel macro cam
the main cams resolution is an upgrade from the 48 megapixels of
last year it also has ois now but the macro was a downgrade the f3 had a 5 megapixel one with autofocus.
so there you have it guys the poco f4 looks solid but not so different from last year or other mid-ranges we've seen
these days it seems like xiaomi has saved us more exciting upgrades for the more premium phones .
